  • BTC classes are open to all LWCC members and the general public. You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.
  • Classes are offered three terms per year — Fall, Winter, and Spring. Most classes meet one evening per week (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday) from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Check the Classes & Schedule page for the current term's offerings.
  • Each 8-week class is $75.00. Tuition is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. Class materials and textbooks are NOT included in tuition and must be purchased separately.
  • Registration for each term opens 30 days before classes begin. Contact the BTC office at (708) 697-5309 for the exact registration opening date for the upcoming term.
  • You can register online using the registration form on our Register for BTC page, or in person at the BTC office during office hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm).
  • You may take more than one class per term as long as there are no scheduling conflicts. Each class meets one night per week.
  • Yes. Each completed course earns 1 credit hour. A Certificate is awarded after earning 12 credit hours (Year 1 courses), and a Diploma is awarded after earning 24 credit hours (Year 1 and Year 2 courses).
  • All BTC classes run on a 2-year rotation. The full curriculum is designed to be completed across two years of quarterly enrollment.
  • No. Childcare is not provided and children are not allowed in the classrooms during class time.
  • Dress is casual, clean, and neat. Modesty is the standard expected of all students.
  • Classes are held in person at 7600 W. Roosevelt Road, Forest Park, IL 60130. Contact our office for the latest information on any online class availability.
  • Please contact the BTC office as soon as possible. Note that tuition is non-refundable.
  • The Living Word School of Ministry & Missions is a fully accredited 9-month ministerial training program designed to equip five-fold ministers with the tools, curriculum, and spiritual formation needed to build and sustain effective kingdom ministries.
  • SOMM is specifically designed for individuals who are currently in full-time or part-time ministry, or who are about to launch their own ministry. Graduates of the two-year BTC program who feel called to ministry are also eligible to apply.
  • Yes. The Living Word School of Ministry & Missions is fully accredited by Transworld Accrediting Commission International.
  • The SOMM program runs annually from September through June, divided into three 8-week modules: Fundamentals (Fall), Dynamics of Ministry (Winter), and Getting Established (Spring).
  • Complete the online application on our Apply for SOMM page. Our admissions team will review your application and contact you within 5–7 business days.
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We recommend applying at least 30 days before the September start date. Contact Joyce Davis at (708) 697-5388 to confirm availability for the upcoming cohort.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age and currently involved in ministry (full-time, part-time, or preparing to launch). Visit the Admissions Info page for full requirements.
  • Please contact the LWSOM office at (708) 697-5388 or visit our Tuition & Fees page for current tuition information.
  • Supplementary course materials are available to registered students. Specific textbooks or materials required for courses are not included in tuition and must be purchased separately.
  • At the end of each term, students are required to deliver a sermon or teaching presentation to the class. This develops and refines their preaching and teaching abilities.
  • Students who complete all three terms of the SOMM program receive a Certificate of Completion, presented by Pastor Bill Winston at the annual graduation ceremony.
  • Yes. Graduation is held in June and is presided over by Pastor Bill Winston. It is a formal ceremony celebrating the completion of the 9-month program.
